الجواب

Praise be to Allah, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and his companions. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. The Sunnah is that the robe or pants should not extend beneath the ankles. This is how the Sunnah has been related. As for what extends below the ankles, the scholars have differed as to whether it is forbidden or disliked. The correct opinion is that it is disliked, unless there is a need to do so.
