All praise is due to Allah alone, and may the Salah and Salam of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions. To answer your question, we say while seeking the success from Allah: The general rule is that everyone must cover their ‘awrah in the presence of other people and not to show it unless it is necessary, and only the parts need to be uncovered be shown. The scholars have a rule that considers showing the ‘awrah in cases of necessity to a person from the same gender is better than showing it to someone from the opposite gender. Thus, it is impermissible for the woman to be treated by a male doctor if there is a female doctor available.
