Praise be to Allah, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and his companions. Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. As to what follows: In response to your question, we say:   There is on Zakat on failed investments according to the correct opinion from the two opinions of the scholars on this issue. This is because these investments take the ruling of lost money which could not be found, and if lost money is found later, it will be considered to be new earnings and no Zakat will be due on it at that time.
