Praise be to Allah, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and his companions.
Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
As to what follows:
Making sajdah tilawa on a recorded recitation is not permissible, what is permissible is making sajdah tilawa for a recitation that is being made by a reciter. Bukhari (1075) and Muslim (575) narrates a hadith reported by Nafi’ from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) who said that:
“When the Prophet (peace be on him) recited a Surah that contained the prostration he would prostrate and we would do the same and some of us (because of the heavy rush) could not find a place for prostration.”
A recorded recitation is a narration of a voice and is not a live recitation, and the reciter on the recording does not prostrate at that moment, so prostration here is not permissible.
This is similar to what Hanafite jurists mentioned regarding the illegality of prostrating upon hearing a recitation by a parrot or an echo. Nay but a recorded recitation is most deserving of being illegal to prostrate to.
