I bought Islamic discs (cd’s). I swear by Allah that I do not know their place of origin. After I went home with them and wanted to download one of them, before I could download it, I saw a small note written: “I Swear by Allah that I am using an original copy and Allah is a witness to what I am saying”. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and his companions.

To proceed:

It is not permissible to use or download a copy which is not original. I think that you should return that cd to the person you bought it from and warn him against selling these discs because it involves violating peoples’ rights and making people to take false oaths.
