Sahl bin `Abdullah al-Tusturi said, “Allah never looks at a heart and sees in it desire for the dunya except that He abhors it, and abhorrence means that He abandons him and his soul.”

[Siyar A`lam al-Nubala’, al-Dhahabi (16/273)]

ما اطلع الله على قلب فرأى فيه هم الدنيا إلا مقته
