If the believer keeps a good intention, it covers all of his actions, such that even the permissible acts he performs end up as his good deeds, due to the righteousness of his heart and intention. Whereas the hypocrite, due to the wickedness of his heart and intention, will be punished for what he openly performs of acts of worship out of riya’ (showing off).
