Hanbal [bin Ishaq (Imam Ahmad’s nephew)] said, “Many sayings and actions are considered acts of obedience by the common people, while being considered as sins by the scholars, such as reciting [the Qur’an] in marketplaces while merchants and consumers are yelling with calls and sales, and yet it is not possible for them to listen [to the recitation]; and so this is irreverence [of the Qur’an].”
This is what he said, based on which it is possible that he considered it disliked.
