If a man is affected by imagination in his brains concerning imaginary events, and he thinks about divorce and pronounces the phrases for divorce without being aware and realizing that because of his imaginations, and not because he wants to be divorced, does divorce occur in such a situation?

Answer

All praise is due to Allah. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and companions.
To proceed:
Divorce does not occur except to a person who pronounces it while sane, by his own choice and without being forced. If the situation is as you have pointed out, then it is not a divorce, because you are afflicted by evil insinuations. Thus, there is no problem as this divorce will not count.
