Dear respected Shaykh, assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. What is the ruling of singling out Saturday for fasting? ما حكم إفراد يوم السبت بصوم؟

As to what follows: In response to your question, we say: The preponderant opinion is that it is not detestable or prohibited to single out Saturday for fasting the hadith that prohibit it are not authentic.
