Praise be to Allah, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and his companions. Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. As to what follows: In response to your question, we say: A number of hadiths were transmitted about the virtues of Surah Tabaraka. One of them is the hadith that was transmitted by at-Tirmithi in al-Jami’ from ibn ‘Abbas on the that the Prophet (peace be upon him said) that the Surah is “a prevention, it is a salvation delivering from the punishment of the grave. " [at-Tirmithi (2890)]. Al-Baihaqi transmitted a hadith from ibn Mas’ud that he said, “We used to call the Surah during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ‘the prevention’”. The hadith was also transmitted by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, at-Tirmithi and others from Abu Hurairah (peace be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah said, “There is a Surah in the Qur'an, with thirty verses, which will intercede for its companion (the one who recites it) until he is forgiven: Tabarakal-ladhi bi yadihil mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the Dominion)." [Ahmad (7915), Abu Dawud (1400), at-Tirmithi (2891), and others. All the paths of the hadiths are weak. However, these paths strengthen each other and thus the virtues of this Surah can be established by all the paths of the hadiths about it.
