Dear respected Shaykh, assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. A woman who was in her fifth month of pregnancy woke up, stretched and miscarried her fetus. The doctor said that the miscarriage was a result of the stretching. This is what the doctor said. What is due from her? تمغطت فسقط الجنين فما الحكم؟

As to what follows: In response to your question, we say:  If she stretched in an ordinary manner and did not intend to abort the pregnancy then nothing is due from her according to the correct opinion from the two opinions of the scholars on the issue. There is nothing due from an ordinary action which leads to the abortion of a fetus.
